What Is SkinVive?
Skinvive is similar to traditional hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, though it’s purpose is to hydrate the skin from the inside out rather than add volume. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in our skin. As we age, the natural levels decrease. By adding a hyaluronic acid like Skinvive to the upper layers of the skin, this restores hyaluronic acid to levels found in younger skin. The result is a glass-like complexion with fewer fine lines and wrinkles.

How does SkinVive work?
When SkinVive is injected, it is placed just underneath the skin of the cheeks, temples or peri-oral area. The hyaluronic acid comes out as micro droplets which take a few days to spread out and cover the entire area injected. Over time, the hyaluronic acid integrates into the skin and stimulates fibrobplasts to produce collagen. It has also been found that aquaporins, which are tiny chanels in the cells that let in water, are increased.
The combination of increased hyaluronic acid, collagen and aquaporins all results in the intended result-a soft dewy glow.

Who is a candidate for skinvive?
While Skinvive is FDA approved for patients over 21, we find that the greatest benefit occurs in patients in the 4th to 6th decade of life. During these decades, often the skin loses some of the natural plumpness and elasticity and it is helpful to have a higher grade injectable to add to a great skin care routine.
How Much Does skinvive Cost
The cost of SkinVive is $400 per syringe. However, keep in mind that to treat a larger area of the face requires a larger number of syringes. Here is a good breakdown.
Both Cheeks: 2 syringes, $800 total.
Entire Neck: 2 syringes, $800 total.
Crow’s Feet and Temples: 1 Syringe, $400 total.
Peri-Oral Area (around the mouth and nose): 1 Syringe, $400 total.
How many syringes of Skinvive do I need?
One common recommendation is:
Two syringes for the cheeks
Two syringes for the neck
One syringe for both Crow’s Feet/Temple
One syringe for the peri-oral area
A full face treatment will take 3 syringes total.
How long does skinvive last?
SkinVive is long lasting, with results up to six months! Skinvive is safe to be injected every 6 months, or twice a year. We recommend continuing with this routine in order to ensure the benefits do not wear off.
How long until I see results after my Skinvive treatment?
Following a SkinVive treatment, you should start to notice changes in the elasticity and feel of your skin after 4 weeks. Because of this, we recommend treatments at least 4-6 weeks before big events of the holidays. This is perfect for the holiday parties start or getting ready for a wedding glow up!
Is Skinvive safe?
Yes! SkinVive is a safe form of dermal filler approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This particular injection method is extremely safe.
Can Sculptra be used with dermal fillers or Botox/Dysport?
Yes! We often recommend SkinVive be combined with neuromodulators like Botox, or bio-stimulators like Sculptra, as part of a full face treatment plan.
